With Pokemon's reign ending, resellers have found Kayou: My Little Pony packs sitting on shelves at Walmart and Target and have begun selecting them as a new outlet for profit margins. Do not fall for reselling scams. Here are a few tips to be on the look out for:

Only buy packs and boxes from trusted sources and vendors, not eBay, Mercari, or Facebook Marketplace. This is an issue with Pokemon resellers - they weigh the packs to determine the hits and reseal the box/set aside the packs with no hits to resell at MSRP or higher. If you collected the Chinese Kayou cards, you more than likely understand how devastating resealed boxes can be.

Here are some trusted resources that have been personally verified by me and several other collectors:

Do not buy overpriced cards. Said resellers will take the hits and resell them for far more than they are worth. This is seen time and time again with Moon 1 and 2, and recently, Fun Moments 2. This is not a current issue with Fun Moments 1 due to it only being available by online purchase rather than on store shelves.
- - A PSA 10 card is not worth a million dollars like these eBay sellers are trying to convince you. Resellers grabbing packs and getting them graded to list them for thousands of dollars is a market test to see what Kayou collectors are willing to buy. If you give into this, they see that they've unlocked a new market to ruin now that they've destroyed Pokemon with graded cards.
  - If someone lists an SC for $100-$150 and you buy said card for $100-$150, the reseller realizes how much money they could make from those cards and starts cleaning out shelves and online sales to continue to resell the SC cards for far more than they are worth, and sometimes, continues to drive the price upward to see how far they can go.
Reverse image search any high value card before you buy it, and only purchase in places you are protected and can process a refund and return if you are scammed. With r/KayouMLP on the rise, I've posted an ISO myself and gotten many messages from scammers reusing photos others have posted in the subreddit to attempt to scam me.
